WHAT WE STAND FOR
Our Ethos
Plenty of brands settle for vague promises. We sweat the details: materials, packaging, product performance, and what our certifications actually mean. That’s our sweet spot.
Raised by Nature. Fuelled by Passion
Curtis and Katie did not start GIVE A SH!T® because caring about the planet made a good marketing angle. It mattered to them long before it became a business.
Curtis grew up with a mum who worked in conservation. He and his sister, Jodie Sue, now part of the GIVE A SH!T® team, took days off school to plant trees and release rehabilitated animals back into the wild. When he met Katie, they quickly connected over their shared care for the planet.
They are the kind of people who cannot walk past trash without picking it up. They compost food scraps, repair or buy secondhand where they can, and shop at local package-free produce markets.
Our external programmes
Restoration Programmes
Through our partnership with The Good API, certain purchases help fund restoration projects around the world.
From mangroves in Kenya and Brazil to kelp forests in British Columbia, reforestation in Madagascar, and tree planting through the Arbor Day Foundation, we support documented restoration work across a range of ecosystems.
Plastic Removal Programmes
Through our partnership with The Good API, certain purchases help fund the collection of ocean-bound plastic through Plastic Bank’s community collection network.
Registered collectors gather discarded plastic in coastal communities and exchange it at local collection branches, where it is weighed, recorded, and sent for processing. The programme provides traceable collection records from collection through to processing.
COMPOSTING DOG WASTE? READ THIS FIRST
Home composting dog waste can be an option, but it has specific rules. Click below for our comprehensive guide to composting dog waste at home.
*For home composting, use a dedicated pet-waste composter. Use finished compost on non-food plants, never on edibles. Most municipal and commercial composting programs do not accept pet waste, and certification does not change that. Appropriate facilities may not exist in your area. If no program accepts it, dispose of it in the trash.
