Our Back Story

It didn’t start in a Lab, or a Boardroom...

It started in the wild, muddy, real world.

Curtis, Co-Founder and Co-CEO and his sister Jodie, Creative Director of GIVE A SH!T™, grew up in New Zealand with a mum who worked for the Department of Conservation. While other kids were glued to Saturday morning cartoons, they were out planting native trees, releasing rehabilitated wildlife, and learning how to treat the earth like it was family.

Sometimes they even skipped school to do it. (Their mum signed the permission slips of course)

Those early days stuck...

Curtis went on to co-found GIVE A SH!T™ with his wife Katie. Years later, after studying Environmental Science at university, Jodie saw what they were building, not just a business, but a movement.

A brand grounded in truth. Fighting waste. Rescuing animals. And refusing to do things the easy way. So she jumped in with both feet.

Some Things Never Change...

Today, Curtis, Katie, and Jodie still live that way, the kind of people who pick up trash on walks, hit the waste-free markets on Sundays, reuse everything, and lose sleep over packaging decisions most brands wouldn’t even think twice about.
